Charles Dowdall, MBA, BCom’83, became executive director for the Prince Edward County Affordable Housing Corporation in Prince Edward County, Ont., in July 2020. Chuck tells us that he and his wife, Lauranna, moved to Kingston in 2016 and regularly enjoy walking through the Queen’s campus.
Bobby Kwon, MBA, has started a new position as president and CEO of the Canadian Commercial Corporation.
Michael Morris, MBA’90, died on Jan. 16 in Cambridge, Ont. He was 74. Michael was called to the bar in 1978 and spent his career practising law. In the middle of his career, Michael began teaching at the University of New Brunswick. More recently, he taught at Conestoga College. Michael loved fly fishing and later in life developed an interest in plants and gardening, helping his wife turn their backyard into an oasis. He is survived by his wife, Cheryl, his daughter and two grandchildren.
Joanne Summers, BCom’90, died in Newbury, Ont., on Nov. 22, 2023. She was 59 years old. After graduating from the Commerce program, Jo continued learning; travelling, reading and pursuing many hobbies. She is survived by her sister, Linda Broughton, BSc(Eng)’85.
