Eric Wong (BCom) is now Vice President for Asia Pacific at North York, Ont.-based Infor Hospitality. He is responsible for the software company’s market in the region. The company designs business software solutions for the hospitality industry.

Michael Kelly (BCom) is now Managing Director of the Enterprise Program Management Office for First Niagara Financial Group, Inc. In this role, he oversees the approval and implementation of new products and services, business initiatives and project portfolios. Michael and his family live in Buffalo, NY.

Michael Spence (BCom) married Amanda Cowan on August 21, 2009, at the Palais Royale in Toronto. Many Queen’s alums were in attendance to celebrate the happy day, including father-of-the-bride Ross Cowan (BCom’66) and other Commerce grads — Jim Dennis and PJ Gordon (both BCom’96), and best man Andrew Calder (BCom’99). Michael and Amanda are also thrilled to announce the birth of their first son, Wesley, born March 12, 2011, weighing 6 lbs., 13 oz. The family currently lives in Toronto, where Michael works at CB Richard Ellis Limited, a commercial real estate company.

Susan Larosa (EMBA, BEd’78) retired from her position as York Catholic District School Board Director in December. She leaves her post after a successful career in education that spanned more than four decades, 15 years of which have been spent with the York board. Her dedication and skill have been recognized over the years with a Woman of Distinction Award from York Region, an Administrator of the Year Award from Niagara University’s College of Education, and the President’s Award from the Council of Exceptional Children of York Region.

Daniel Tisch (EmBA, Artsci’91), President and CEO of Argyle Communications in Toronto and a Queen’s Trustee, is also Chair of the Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communications Management, a confederation of the world’s major PR and communication management associations and institutions. Ruth Rappini (EMBA) published her first book, Vittorio’s Journey: An Italian Immigrant’s Story in October 2013. The book details the true story of her father, from boyhood in Bologna during the ‘30s to immigration to Canada in the ‘50s after surviving a sinking submarine and imprisonment in Allied POW camps in Britain and the U.S. during the ‘40s. Vittorio’s Journey fits into the broader historical record of all those who fought, suffered, or perished on both sides during this tragic period of modern history.

Frank Mirabelli (EMBA) was appointed Chief Operating Officer of First General Canada in April 2013. In his new role, he is responsible for strategy development and execution in the Canadian property restoration market. Frank and his wife Lisa were also blessed with the arrival of a daughter, Julianna Livia, on April 13, 2013.
