Preparing Leaders for the Age of Artificial Intelligence

Beginning each May, Smith’s 12-month Master of Management in Artificial Intelligence (MMAI) equips professionals with the knowledge and leadership capabilities to harness AI for organizational impact—across sectors including defence, security, logistics, and public administration.

AI is rapidly transforming how decisions are made, how operations are executed, and how resources are managed. For the Canadian Armed Forces, these changes represent both a challenge and an opportunity. The MMAI program develops professionals who understand the technical foundations of AI and who can translate those insights into practical, ethical, and strategic applications aligned with institutional objectives.

Participants graduate with the ability to:

  • Build AI fluency across leadership and technical teams
  • Apply AI to improve operational efficiency, planning, and decision-making
  • Enhance organizational readiness for emerging technologies
  • Lead responsibly in a rapidly evolving, data-driven environment
