The Next Chapter
A conversation with women about ambition, confidence, and investing in yourself
September 23, 2026 @ 5:45pm
The Loft On King, Toronto
Hosted by the Smith Full-time MBA Program
Join us for an intimate evening of conversation with accomplished women who have challenged convention, invested in themselves, and transformed their careers.
Through candid stories and thoughtful discussion, we'll explore the moments that shaped their leadership journeys, the decisions that changed their trajectories, and the lessons they wish they'd known earlier.
You'll also have the opportunity to connect with current Smith MBA students, alumni, and members of the Smith MBA program team, ask questions, share experiences, and gain an inside perspective on the MBA journey and the community behind it.
Whether an MBA is something you've considered—or never seriously thought about—this evening is about exploring what's possible.
Because the most important investment you make may be the one you make in yourself.

Power Your Personal Brand for the AI Era
What does it take to build a personal brand that stands out in the AI era? Moving beyond advice about going viral, posting daily, or simply showing up online, Christal will introduce Reputation Architecture™—a framework for shaping how you are found, understood, and trusted by recruiters, journalists, prospects, referral sources, and increasingly, the AI tools they use to find you.
Drawing on luxury brand positioning principles, this talk will explore how to tell your story with intention and bring it to life in ways that resonate with both human and machine behaviour. Expect practical, tangible strategies for building a reputation designed for the future.
Christal Agostino, MBA'11
Founder, BOA Media
Christal is a brand strategist and former Publisher of Air Canada’s enRoute media. Her career includes global brand partnerships at Fairmont Hotels and content strategy work for brands including Mercedes-Benz, L’Oréal Luxe, and Bombardier Business Jets.
A Smith School of Business MBA graduate, Christal specialized in International Luxury Brand Management in Paris, studying under leaders from the LVMH Group. A Cannes Lions Creative Academy Top 30 Under 30 Marketer, she has spent over a decade as a speaker, panel host, and on-air expert.
Today, Christal runs BOA Media, a media and production house built to amplify women's voices and explore how accomplished women protect, grow, and deploy power. Its debut publication, Power Stack, covers the forces reshaping careers, leadership, and wealth for executive women: AI-driven gatekeeping in hiring and visibility, reputation defense in an era of algorithmic attacks, intellectual property strategy, and the shift from employment to ownership — through written intelligence, expert-led dinners, and a short-form video series featuring the advisors and strategists behind the most powerful women in business. She keynotes and leads workshops on these topics alongside Reputation Architecture™, her framework for how professionals are found, understood, and trusted.
