“Green Technology Adoption”
Featuring: Dr. Anton Ovchinnikov, PhD, Associate Professor of Management Science and Operations Management, QSB
In this session Prof. Ovchinnikov will discuss the findings from his research on the impact of firms’ operational characteristics on the design of environmental policy for green technology adoption. The session will cover with varying degree of detail three research papers that are available upon request. While the papers are somewhat technical, the talk will focus on the higher-level points, insights and intuition. We will discuss the various instruments, such as taxes, rebates and subsidies, and how they impact the adoption of green technologies in light of demand uncertainties, environmental externalities, and inherent discreetness of technological choices that firms face.
Let’s see where the conversation takes us!
