Joanne Sallay, BCom’04, was one of 20 women business owners in the U.S. and Canada selected for the EY Entrepreneurial Winning Women North America Class of 2022. EY created the program 15 years ago to recognize entrepreneurs who have demonstrated “exceptional business acumen, unflinching determination and innovation in designing solutions.” Joanne is president and CEO of Teachers on Call, which offers online and in-person tutoring for elementary and high school students in Ontario and across Canada.

Robert T. Arnoth, EMBA, and Karen Sargen, MtBA’98, took a week this past winter to ride a Harley down to Key West, travelling one of the top ten motorcycle routes in the U.S. Aside from some record-breaking, torrential downpours, it was a wonderful ride. A highlight was cruising down the Overseas Highway riding alongside dolphins in the waters below.

Magi Scallion (BCom) moved from Canmore, AB, to Vancouver, BC , and is “loving every minute.” She has enjoyed working with the District of West Vancouver, Whistler Sport Legacies and is now with GranFondo Canada. Queen’s alums in her informal running club include Amy Schneeberg (Artsci’05, MSc’07), Stephanie Hamilton (Artsci’03) and Caroline Mariano (Artsci’04). “Please look me up if you’re in the area!” Magi suggests. Michael Sherman (EMBA) has been elected President of the Great Lakes Association of Orthodontists (GLAO). Michael is the owner of Sherman Orthodontics in Thornhill, Ont.

Michael Sinkinson
Michael Sinkinson (BCom) is the 2014 recipient of the Helen Kardon Moss Anvil Award for outstanding MBA teaching at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business. This follows his inclusion on the “Top 40 Under 40” listing of b-school professors announced in February by Poets and Quants, an online resource for MBA students. Michael completed his PhD in Business Economics at Harvard University before joining Wharton.

Adam Stevenson
Adam Stevenson (EMBA) was named VP and Head of Operations for TAO Solutions Inc. in December 2010. TAO is a software development firm that specializes in mortgage and other asset securitization technologies. Adam oversees all aspects of the internal company operations, as well as sales and professional services. The family—Adam, Reyna and son Owen—is still based in Whitby, ON.

Timm Tondorf
Timm Tondorf (BCom) has been in Hangzhou, China, for nearly a year, working as Managing Director, Asia Pacific, for Kenguru Cars, the first electrically powered vehicle designed especially for wheelchair users. He plans to marry in May and has been learning Mandarin. Timm welcomes visitors and questions about China.
