Sean Friday (EMBA) is now Commander of 8 Wing, CFB Trenton. A Colonel in the Royal Canadian Air Force, his previous appointment was Deputy Chief of Staff—Plans, at Canada Command Headquarters. He has flown operational missions around the world, including deployments during the Gulf War, Operation Airbridge (Bosnia-Herzegovina), and Operation Determination (Kuwait). In 2008, he was deployed to Joint Task Force Afghanistan as Commanding Officer of the Theatre Support Element at Camp Mirage in the United Arab Emirates. He has also carried out several humanitarian airlift operations, including deployments to Djibouti/Ethiopia, Kenya/Somalia and Uganda.
