Court Carruthers (EMBA), Toronto, won his place among Caldwell Partners’ annual cross-Canada selection of “Top 40 Under 40” business leaders as President of Acklands-Grainger Inc. (AGI) and senior VP of W.W. Grainger Inc. They had long histories, Acklands having been founded in Winnipeg in 1889 and Grainger in 1927. Court combined their production of electric motors, wooden farm equipment and vehicles to make the conjoined companies Canada’s largest distributor of industrial, safety and fastener products: 60,000 products, 155 outlets and $700 million in annual sales.
