Gordon (Gord) Hayhurst

Gordon (Gord) Hayhurst (BCom) died Nov. 12, 2012 after a brief period of failing health. He is survived by his spouse Jacqueline (Jackie) Hushion, mother Shirley Alice Hayhurst and siblings Alice (BCom’82), Daniel (BCom’89) and Laurie Cruess (BSc’75), as well as several nieces and nephews. Following his Queen’s graduation, Gordon worked at Ridout & Maybee LLP in his native Toronto before earning his law degree from the University of Warwick in the UK. After his return to Canada, he joined Lang Michener. At the time of his death he was a Legal Advisor with the federal Immigration and Refugee Board, where he dedicated more than twenty rewarding years to public service.
