Derek Funnell (BCom)

Derek Funnell (BCom) died Jan. 26, 2012, in Oakville, Ont. He is survived by his wife Darlene (Orser), sisters Lynn Pady and Sandy Gregg, and numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews. He was highly regarded and respected in the business world, from his early days in the sporting goods industry through to his retirement as Vice President, Fabricated Products, at MTI-PolyFab in Mississauga. His interests included golfing, kayaking, skiing, playing hockey and biking. He was active in his community as a volunteer with Fareshare Food Bank in Oakville and as the unofficial mayor of his neighbourhood.
