Jamie Leonghuxley

Jamie Leong-Huxley (EMBA) recently joined Canada West Foundation as its first senior communicator on staff because, as she says, she’s “keen to work with the best minds, influencing the minds who need it.” A proud, fourth-generation western Canadian, Jamie brings 23 years’ experience in business, strategic planning and communication to the foundation, after a career working with every sector, largely as a consultant and in leadership roles with energy and technology companies. Among her ways of keeping in touch with current events is extensive community work. Jamie is past chair of Social Venture Partners Calgary, past chair of Mount Royal College’s Centre for Communication Studies Advisory Committee and its Public Relations Advisory Committee, and is currently a member of MRC’s Gerontology Advisory Committee. In addition to her MBA, she has post-secondary education in public relations and gerontology and is accredited in PR and advertising. Jamie has won many local, national and international awards for her work.
