Abigail Kingswood, BCom’19, and Divya Makkar, MEng’19, won $5,000 in the Summer Pitch Competition at the Dunin-Deshpande Queen’s Innovation Centre (DDQIC). Their company, ARKE News, positions itself as a news aggregator that measures the bias in news content, offering users access to real-time bias profiles personalized to their news consumption. “We were excited to be recognized by the DDQIC judging panel and will be utilizing the seed funding we received to bring our consumer-facing applications to life,” Abigail says.
