For the first time, Smith School of Business is offering students from our international partner schools the opportunity to take exciting electives in a condensed format, at our downtown Toronto location. Deepen your knowledge and skill set, while connecting with Master’s students from Smith and a diverse group of world-class international business schools.

Financial Technology & Innovation

This intensive four-day session is divided into two 2-day electives and taught by Smith faculty members, renowned for their business experience and academic credentials. Students have the option to participate in one or both of the courses.

Participants in the classes will include current Smith Master’s degree students, Master’s business students from international partner schools, and Smith alumni.

In addition to the education component to the program, the Summer Enrichment Program will include an evening social event to provide participants the opportunity to enjoy Toronto in the summer while connecting with fellow classmates.

Maximum capacity of 80 students per class.

The city of Toronto is served by Pearson International Airport. The best mode of transportation from Pearson to Toronto is the UP Express (city train).

The UP Express departs from Toronto Pearson International Airport every 15 minutes and takes you to Union Station, which is located a couple of blocks from SmithToronto. The cost is $12.35 CAD for a one-way ticket. For more information, visit upexpress.com.

As a student at one of our partner schools, Smith is pleased to offer a discounted rate of $1,000 CAD per course.

What’s included?

  • All necessary learning materials, including textbooks
  • Breakfast and lunch every lecture day
  • All related costs of any Smith-organized social event (including dinner). On the evening of Tuesday, July 23rd, Smith will host a networking event and social in Toronto for all students participating in the Summer Enrichment Program
  • Use of Smith’s facilities (Bloomberg terminals, Wi-Fi, meeting rooms, kitchens, coffee/tea and refreshments)

Students will be responsible for covering their own travel, hotel and food costs, outside of any program-organized meals and social events.

Eligibility

  • Students currently enrolled in or an alumni of a Master’s level or MBA program from Smith School of Business or one of Smith’s international partner schools.
  • Students with a high degree of English language proficiency. An English proficiency test may be required. Learn more.
