On campus recruitment is a busy time for employers and students with information sessions, networking events, and interviews. The team at the Career Advancement Centre is committed to providing exceptional, high-touch service to firms who recruit with us; on campus interview scheduling support is an integral part of this. Our team of Customer Experience Coordinators look forward to helping you through this busy season.

Booking Interview Rooms

Interview rooms are available on a first come first served basis at no charge to the company. Please ensure you have booked space with us on our OCR Booking Form. Our Customer Experience Coordinators will confirm all bookings once they have been submitted to ensure we have space on one of your preferred days.

Submitting Your Short List (Timeline & Required Info)

Short lists must be submitted to our Customer Experience Coordinators at 8:00am, three business days prior to your scheduled interview date. To ensure an effective interview scheduling process, please accurately provide the detail listed in the chart below. Once the schedule has been processed we cannot make changes to the structure. If you are unable to provide our team with the details for your short list three business days in advance you are more than welcome to complete the schedule yourself and return a copy to our team in advance of coming to campus for your interviews. Whether you schedule yourself or we schedule for you, we look forward to having you with us.

Interview Scheduling Details

Start & End Time Interviews typically run between 8:30am-4:30pm and the earliest train from Toronto arrives in Kingston at 9:07am.
Length & Structure Please indicate how long you would like each interview to be scheduled for, as well as, any details pertaining to the structure of the interview i.e. single interview vs. multi-part rotating interview.
Breaks If you have a preference for the time, duration or number or breaks please include this information.
Type of Interview For example, behavioural vs case
Candidate Names Please provide the list of candidates names and identify any non-business candidates, including their email address (if applicable).
Alternates Although this is not necessary, should someone decline your interview and you have an alternative choice please let us know. Those candidates will only be contacted should one of your first choice candidates decline the interview.

Day of Interviews

When you are on campus for interviews our team will be available to support you and your candidates throughout the day. We will ensure your team knows exactly where they are going throughout the day.

Additionally, all firms are provided with WiFi access, lunch, and parking passes, if needed. Our Customer Experience Coordinators will provide you with specific details closer to the time of your interviews. We do encourage firms to take advantage of the complimentary lunch as line ups at food service providers on campus can be lengthy during the fall.

If you require additional support, such as laptops for Skype interview candidates or access to a telephone please let our team know so we can coordinate in advance of your arrival.
