Kingston, Ont. – Established with an initial gift of $2.2 million from Scotiabank, the SCCA has seen a number of successes since its start, including research advances in the areas of pricing, revenue management, loyalty programs, adaptable database management systems, analytics and decision making, and ethics and AI. In July, Scotiabank reaffirmed its commitment to the centre’s mission and success with $2 million in additional funding, supporting the centre through to 2025.

Kingston, Ont. – Today marks the launch of a new global, multiple school exchange program. The Global MIM Network will be run between four schools: Imperial College Business School in the UK, ESMT Berlin in Germany, SMU Lee Kong Chian School of Business in Singapore and Smith School of Business at Queen’s University in Canada.

Kingston, Ont. – From fleeing communism to winning Queen’s University’s highest award for research excellence, Smith Professor Emeritus Kristian Palda, BCom’56, lived a storied life. A revered professor and prolific researcher, Palda passed away peacefully at home in Kingston on July 26, surrounded by family. He was 91.
