Oct. 31, 2013 – Tucson, Arizona - Second year Commerce students Tusaani Kumaravadivel (left) and Som Ghosh (right) placed second at the Eller Collegiate Ethics Case Competition at the University of Arizona in Tucson, held Oct. 26-28, 2013. There were 32 teams representing universities from across North America at the competition, now in its 11th year. This year’s case tackled ‘Obamacare’ (the Affordable Health Care for America Act) and ethical issues related to a company’s wellness program.

The students, shown with faculty advisor Shannon Goodspeed, are members of the newly formed Queen’s Case Competition Union (QCCU), a joint initiative of the Commerce Society and Commerce program office that helps students prepare and train for case competitions. In addition to the recognition as second place finishers, both Tusaani and Som received an HP tablet.
