Queen’s MBA team takes 2nd place at international case competition

In the largest competition of its kind in the world, Queen’s scored a second place finish at the John Molson 2011 MBA International Case Competition in Montreal in early January. More than 250 competitors representing 36 business schools from 11 countries competed in this annual competition organized by Concordia University’s John Molson School of Business.
The five-person Queen’s team received a cheque for $7,000, second to Portugal’s University of Porto which captured first place and $10,000 and ahead of third place finisher, Germany’s University of Kaiserslautern. This year marked the 30th anniversary of this prestigious case competition that brings together international MBA students, academic judges and corporate partners such as Bombardier, EDC and Rio Tinto, among others.
