Queen’s Women in Leadership Mentorship Brunch inspires Commerce students

Toronto’s Brassaii restaurant was the place to be on Oct. 8 when Commerce students and their mentors met for brunch and some inspiration delivered by keynote speaker Susan Allen. Ms. Allen has broken ground in the accounting world in her 29-year career at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC). She is the only female on the company’s Canadian Board of Directors and the only Canadian serving on the PwC Global Board of Directors. The Brunch was organized by Queen’s Women in Leadership (QWIL) which offers a variety of events, workshops and panel discussions designed to motivate and promote the leadership aspirations of Commerce students. “Business Not as Usual” is the theme of their upcoming annual conference that takes place at Queen’s from Nov. 11 – 13.
