I came to Queen’s MBA Program because ...

In the summer of 2015, I moved from Egypt to Canada. At that time, I had been working in project management for about a year and the idea of an MBA was already starting to form itself in my mind. I saw the MBA as a stepping stone to a career in Marketing. After the move, I figured that it was the perfect time for me to do the MBA, given the fact that I didn’t want to have to take additional time away from being in the business world in the future.

So, a year after moving to Canada, my search began and I set my sights on one-year programs. I chose the Queen’s MBA for a few reasons, starting with the small and very diverse class. I was 100% convinced that this would provide me the experience to not only learn about different backgrounds but also form the long-lasting bonds I was looking for as someone who had just moved to the country. Furthermore, I was intrigued by Queen’s team-based approach. I had never heard about a similar program and being a total believer that brainstorming produces better results than one mind working on its own, this was a huge deciding factor. Lastly, and most importantly, was the massive support that you are provided with at Queen’s, beginning with the most friendly and helpful MBA office staff ranging all the way to the different coaches that are there for you to help you with any struggles that you might face.
