STUDENT AMBASSADORS

I came to Queen’s MBA Program because ...

After 9 years working in various management roles at my family’s furniture manufacturing and retail business, I wanted to build my business theory and strategy skills to improve my chances of success upon taking over the family business, or my chances of success moving my career in a new direction. I chose the Queen’s MBA for three main reasons. First, the excellent reputation of the school; second, the one-year program length suits my experience level better than 18-month or two-year programs; and third, the small class size and unique focus on teamwork was intuitively appealing, but also made sense to me as a representation of most corporate environments. From the start of the application process, to enrolment and throughout the program, the Queen’s MBA administration and faculty have been incredibly supportive and knowledgeable. This was not my experience with the application process for other schools. Finally, my experience with the Business Career Centre and associated resources has been very positive; from career coaching, to LinkedIn boot camps, and networking events, I feel confident that the Queen’s MBA is going to help me make the right career choice and develop a great network.
