STUDENT AMBASSADORS

I came to Queen’s MBA Program because ...

After working for three years in the media industry in radio broadcasting and later at a media sales start-up company, I decided that it was time for a career change. I knew that an MBA program would serve as a pivot point in my career and would enable me to gain business acumen and knowledge. Initially, the Queen’s MBA program stood out to me because it offered a Healthcare Administration specialization and opportunity to concurrently pursue a MSc in Healthcare Quality. As someone with no professional healthcare experience, the specialization and duel-degree option allow me to gain expertise and pivot to the healthcare industry with ease.

However, I believe that the key differentiating factor of the Queen’s MBA program is the “family” culture. From the moment I began the application process to Queen’s, I felt welcomed and supported. The faculty and staff continue to be supportive throughout the program. The small class size of 80 students has allowed me to develop close relationships with classmates and professors. As students, our growth is fostered and developed through working one-on-one with team coaches, executive coaches, lifestyle coaches and career coaches. I can confidently say that during my time at Smith School of Business, I am growing not only professionally, but personally as well.
