STUDENT AMBASSADORS

Daniel Boudens

I came to Queen’s MBA Program because ...

I pursued an MBA program for two reasons; I had developed a wealth of experience in a niche field/remote operation and saw my career slowly being pigeonholed. While I was recognized for my strong technical and problem solving skills, I struggled to communicate my ideas in a clear and concise manner. The problem in the workplace is that the work you get assigned relies on your strengths and gives little development for your weaknesses. I decided that an MBA would allow me to open new career opportunities and many more opportunities to work on my weaknesses.

The Queen’s MBA was the best option for me. Just like any program at Queen’s University, your classmates are the best part of the experience. The school promotes a collaborative atmosphere. In addition to the faculty, there are just over 80 students with strong, diverse backgrounds. Everyone is willing to go out of their way help you get the most out of the program.

The strong emphasis on teamwork was also something that set the program apart. Being able to effectively lead and follow in a team is a skill required in all industries at all levels of business. The one-year program model and the fast pace forces you to delegate and lean on other team members.
