STUDENT AMBASSADORS

Bill Terry

I came to Queen’s MBA Program because ...

I worked as a civil engineer in a small-size land development firm for four years. With a strong technical understanding of land development, I aspire to move to the ownership or entrepreneurial side of the industry. To reach this goal, I need to develop the business acumen and skill set to evaluate development opportunities from a strategic and financial perspective. An MBA will provide me with the skills and knowledge to achieve my career ambitions while honing my teamwork and collaboration skills.  One of the most important lessons I have gained from my education and career experience to date is the power of relationships. During my program research, this sentiment was echoed by several Smith alumni, who consistently used the word “family” to describe their network.  Smith’s one year program and focus on teamwork and collaboration is what originally attracted me to the program, but the Smith family is the reason it was my top choice.  Building meaningful relationships is a core value I shared with Smith.  The quality of the Smith staff and professors is incredible and my classmates are truly inspiring.  The Queen’s MBA has well exceeded all my expectations to date and I cannot wait to see what else is in store.
