STUDENT AMBASSADORS

Amit Prasad

I came to Queen’s MBA Program because ...

I come from an operations and manufacturing background spanning more than eight years of professional experience. Having manifested my engineering knowledge in the industry all this while, I felt it was time for me to move ahead into a more strategy-oriented role to understand the bigger picture. While pursuing an MBA made the most sense to achieve these goals, it was extremely crucial to choose the "right" MBA program – a program that has an excellent global reputation, outstanding faculty, and an extensive alumni network. On the basis of these parameters and a career focus in North America, the Queen's MBA made my list of most sought-after business programs. The fact that Queen’s has a small class size, a 1-year duration, and a highly collaborative team-based approach further helped guide me in my decision to choose Queen’s.

What makes me justify my decision today is the experience I am building as the program keeps unfolding every day. The international diversity at Queen’s has helped me broaden the ‘cultural' aspect and has also been instrumental in expanding my professional network on a global level. With a plethora of business clubs and activities happening all year-round, the experience has been simply transformational! Last but not the least, the coaching culture at Queen’s is worth a mention. The coaches – team coach, career coach, executive coach, and a lifestyle coach - together, offer you well-rounded support to maximize your learning potential. Please feel free to reach out to me in case you have any questions about the program and life in Kingston.
