Ria Sen

Born in Mumbai, India, and having lived in six countries, I’ve always been shaped by diverse communities and perspectives. Across every chapter of my life, one constant has been my interest in marketing and storytelling. From high school and undergraduate clubs to professional roles in marketing, UI/UX and graphic design, I’ve always been drawn to building experiences that bring people together.

As Director of Marketing and Communications, my role is to coordinate the promotion of the Student Executive and our Full-time MBA class, while supporting the President and Vice President in advancing their vision. I also serve as the bridge between the SEC and the Smith Marketing Department, ensuring our messaging aligns with the broader Smith brand while still authentically reflecting our cohort.

I applied for this role because I believe communication shapes culture. This year, our executive theme centers on community, clubs and communication, and I see marketing as the thread that connects all three. My goal is to create a stronger, more visible presence for our class, including building a meaningful social media footprint that captures the energy, milestones and memories of this year.

Above all, I want every member of our cohort to feel heard, welcomed and engaged. If we can look back at this year and see not just accomplishments, but a community we helped build together, I’ll consider that a success.
