Daniel Scarr

As the Director of Health and Wellness for the MBA Class of 2024, my goal is to support my classmates' health and wellbeing. With the high demands and fast-paced nature of the program, it's easy for students to feel overwhelmed with deadlines and coursework. However, I believe that maintaining a balance between work commitments and self-care is crucial to performing at our best both personally and professionally. Drawing from my background in clinical research, fitness, and competitive sports, I understand the value of a healthy balance.

I'm a firm advocate for physical and mental health, recognizing that many students prioritize success over getting enough sleep, exercise, proper nutrition, and taking care of their mental health. However, this approach is not sustainable and can lead to burnout. To promote the importance of these core functions and engage those who may neglect them, I provide resources and organize challenges and events alongside the SEC.

I'm grateful for the opportunity to be part of the SEC and further enhance the MBA Class of 2024’s experience through greater involvement. With my passion for health and wellness, I'm committed to advocating for my classmates and helping them achieve their personal and professional goals while prioritizing their physical and mental health.
