I came to the Full-time MBA at Smith School of Business because ...

of its team-based model of learning, emphasis on community and proven reputation for career advancement. With the rapidly evolving landscape of artificial intelligence, the ability to collaborate effectively, communicate clearly and lead teams has become increasingly invaluable. Especially as a Registered Nurse, working in team-based environments where I can learn from others and share perspectives has been incredibly rewarding.

If I could go back and give myself advice one year ago, it would be to just apply and not be too anxious or hard on myself. The application advisors at Smith are amazing, supportive and genuinely want applicants to succeed.

A tip I would offer to applicants would be to connect with current students and alumni. These conversations can give you a glimpse into how valuable community and connectedness are to Smith, as well as the diverse range of opportunities the MBA program has to offer. Speaking with alumni can also help you explore what you want to achieve with your MBA, whether it's short-term goals, such as participating in clubs and competitions, or long-term career objectives. Having this clarity will help you hit the ground running, and as you will learn, “squeeze the orange”!

Post MBA, I hope to leverage my clinical expertise with the leadership and business skills I develop to drive sustainable, equitable and accessible changes in the healthcare system for both patients and providers.
