I came to the Full-time MBA at Smith School of Business because ...

I knew I wanted a master’s degree that would genuinely accelerate my career, and an MBA was the only path that aligned with my goals. From the beginning, Smith stood out. The program administration was incredibly supportive and responsive, and attending the Fall Showcase confirmed my decision. Sitting in on a class and speaking with current students showed me the calibre of people this program attracts, their professionalism, confidence, and collaborative mindset, which was noticeably stronger than what I had seen at other schools. The team‑based structure and leadership‑focused curriculum made it clear that Smith develops leaders.

If I could give myself advice a year ago, it would be to start earlier research programs sooner, reach out to students and admissions earlier, and apply early. Even if you’re unsure, giving yourself that runway makes the entire process smoother.

My best tip for applicants is simple: be authentic. Tell your real story, be clear about your motivations and show genuine passion. The staff and faculty appreciate honesty and purpose.

Through the Smith MBA, I hope to build lifelong relationships, grow as a leader and position myself for a career in investment and entrepreneurship while being part of a community and brand I’m proud to represent.
