I came to the Full-time MBA at Smith School of Business because ...

of its world-class reputation, highly respected faculty and innovative approach to business education. I was particularly drawn to the program’s blend of case-based learning, class instructions and team-based projects. I was also attracted to the program’s small cohort size and focused length, which creates an immersive and concentrated learning environment.

My advice to myself a year ago would be to approach the MBA experience with an open mind. Not having a clearly defined career path at the beginning of the program is okay, as it creates space for growth, exploration and unexpected opportunities.

My advice for future applicants is to get to know the admissions team and engage with current students and alumni. My conversations with Smith students and alumni before starting the program helped me confirm that Smith was the right fit for me.

As a former Genetic Technologist, I am aiming to transition from technical laboratory work to broader strategic and business-oriented roles post MBA. I am seeking consulting and strategy roles in healthcare, biotechnology or adjacent industries. I am confident that the Smith MBA experience will strengthen my leadership skills and provide me with the essential business foundation needed to succeed where my career leads.
