I chose the Smith MBA for its strong emphasis on team-based learning. Returning to school after five years of work felt daunting. However, I was confident that a collaborative, team-based environment would support a smoother transition and better reflect the team-oriented nature of professional work.

The Smith Full-time MBA team made the decision feel easy through their prompt communication and approachable support, which reflected a genuine care for students and a strong sense of community.

If I could go back a year and offer myself advice, I would remind myself that returning to school is a worthwhile investment in my growth, and to trust the decision without overthinking it.

My advice to applicants is to present themselves authentically. Your unique personality, experiences and accomplishments are what strengthen your application and help you stand out. This program values well-rounded candidates, and it is important to embrace your experience and shine a light on your achievements outside of your work experience.

I plan to use the MBA to further develop my communication and leadership skills, and I am eager to build a strong foundation across all areas of business. While I am keeping my career options open throughout the program, I intend to focus my efforts on pursuing opportunities in marketing.
