I came to the Full-time MBA at Smith School of Business because ...

of the collaborative team-based format. Improving my leadership and team collaborative skills was top of mind during my MBA research. I knew I wanted to be part of a program that emphasized and encouraged that. The global recognition of the Smith MBA was also a critical factor in my decision, as I wanted to ensure that this investment in myself would create endless opportunities. Smith also offers specializations that I found unique for an MBA program. That is how I ended up applying to Smith.

Looking back on my research and application period, I would tell myself to start sooner. I knew the MBA was something I wanted to pursue, but I was always hesitant to begin the process. Start now! You’ll never regret starting early.

One of the best tips I can give future applicants is to use your resources to your advantage. I listened to podcasts to help me understand common MBA interview questions and strengthen my answers. I had friends and family review some written aspects of my application and set up mock interview scenarios with common interview questions. After my MBA, I hope to pursue a career in product innovation in the CPG industry. An MBA from Smith is critical to teaching me the skills required to lead a successful cross-functional innovation team in a CPG environment.
