I came to the Full-time MBA at Smith School of Business because ...

I came to the Smith MBA because of its global reputation; its team-based structure, strong alumni network and high employment statistics were some of my biggest influences in deciding where to do my MBA. These factors suit my long-term goals best. The one-year duration of the Smith MBA program also meant that the opportunity cost of my MBA program is more optimized, which serves my short-term considerations. The extensive support I received from the Smith MBA team from when my application process began until the start of my program was also spectacular, which further made my MBA decision easier.

In hindsight, the advice I would have given myself a year ago is that you are making the right choice and will thank yourself for your efforts and sacrifices. Be more open to cultural change, which will be a considerable part of your personal development and strengthen your time management skills because of the program's intensity.

Some of my advice to future applicants would be:

  1. complete diligent research and gather all the facts about every option when estimating the opportunity cost of their MBA.
  2. to tell their unique stories sincerely and get alumni feedback on their application submissions, if possible.
  3. to apply early in the application process, especially for international students.

My career goal is to attain distinguished expertise in management consulting, specifically in strategy and transformation. I want to build a solid network of industry professionals and lifelong friendships from my MBA experience.
