I came to the Full-time MBA at Smith School of Business because ...

I knew the team-based program was the right fit for me. I visited campus (pre-pandemic) and could see how close the previous cohort was after knowing each other for only eight weeks.

Despite a virtual program start, the program has not disappointed. We are building relationships virtually, and of course, looking forward to the opportunity to get to know each other in-person when it is safe to do so. The program administration, our professors, and the entire team at Smith are genuinely engaged in the delivery and here to help us reach our goals.

Advice: Get to know your incoming classmates through virtual coffee conversations before the start of the program. You will feel more comfortable coming into the program when several of the faces already look familiar. Everyone I have reached out to has been more than happy to have a conversation.

My MBA Experience: Through my MBA, I hope to build lasting relationships with my classmates and enhance my analytical skills. I am keeping an open mind about post-graduation career paths but anticipate a role in internal strategy or consulting might be a good match for my skills and interests.

Application Tips: Reach out and engage with current students or recent alumni, both at Smith and your other target schools. These conversations helped me get a sense of the student culture and understand where I would fit best.
