I came to the Full-time MBA at Smith School of Business because ...

I wanted to shift my career towards a more passion-driven goal.  I began browsing MBA programs, and what initially appealed to me about the Smith experience was that it was an effective and efficient 12-month program. I looked into it a little more and was interested in the unique application process. The idea that advisors were available throughout the process to help was comforting. As I began to explore more, I was heavily influenced by the team-oriented curriculum and the many coaches available to students to guide their career paths throughout the full-time MBA program. I had incredibly positive experiences with the staff I met during my application, and therefore, I committed to applying to Smith and nowhere else.

One piece of advice I would give to people who will be in my position during the application process is to be confident and take command to direct your career path towards your true passion. I came into the program with no prior business knowledge; however, I knew that my diligence and transferable skills would guide me through it. The curriculum ensures that teams are formed with diverse backgrounds, including variable strengths and vulnerabilities. If you are looking to change your career or take it to the next level, there’s no harm in applying. As cliché as it sounds, be your genuine self during the application and admissions process, which is the most substantial factor towards success.
