I came to the Full-time MBA at Smith School of Business because ...

There were two critical aspects that I cared about deeply since the inception of a competitive world; one was to be a successful leader capable of making the right judgment call in critical scenarios. The second was to create an impact and a legacy of my own. My journey to achieving this started at Accenture that gave me a premature outlook into the business world and urged me to add managerial skillsets, systematically, to my portfolio to grow into more strategic and leadership roles in my career. This led me to my decision to pursue an MBA.

I believed that the Smith MBA was the right fit for me because it embodies the methodology of experiential and team-based learning that resonates with my thoughts of an ideal learning environment. The extensive course curriculum design, the real-world business projects, club engagements and case competitions that the school offers are opportunities that will help me get accustomed to the Canadian way of life, build lasting relationships with business professionals and help me be better integrated into the community.

My goal after the MBA is to work as a Brand/Marketing Manager for a top Product company in Canada, and I am confident that the quality of education, learning, and experience provided in this program will help me reach for it.

A year ago, the advice I would give would be to leverage multiple social media platforms to continually feed your brain with business and world news/updates.

Best Practice: To not be very critical and hard on yourself, and be true to your story that you pitch during the interview. It is also not essential to understand what the interviewers are looking for; instead, know why Smith is the right fit for you.
