I came to the Full-time MBA at Smith School of Business because ...

I always knew I wanted to pursue an MBA; however, I wanted to make sure that the institution I received my degree from shared my values of empathy, vulnerability, collaboration, and respect. After researching various top-tier business schools, connecting with alumni, and speaking with administration, I soon realized that the school which best fit my vision was the Smith School of Business. Smith emphasizes building connections among diverse individuals, harnessing the power of self-awareness, and enhancing critical reasoning skills. These are crucial components of successfully working in any profession and living a fulfilled and authentic life.

If I could go back one year ago and give myself advice, I would say: enjoy the application process! Everyone at Smith is there to help you work towards your goals and discover who you are and what you want. The best advice I can give to an applicant: ask questions, always show gratitude, be vulnerable, and enjoy the journey. An MBA is a significant investment; therefore, you want to make sure that you are a good fit for your future school and your school is the right fit for what you want.

My MBA mission includes learning more about others, myself, and how I can use my MBA to contribute to the well-being of Canadians and those around the world. My goal is to help ignite a culture that advances educational equality, well-being initiatives, celebrates diversity, and empowers women and girls to become leaders.
