I came to the Full-time MBA at Smith School of Business because ...

pursuing an MBA at Smith has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. A few years ago, I started a non-profit organization called Greater Love Canada which empowers the youth of Canada to serve those on the streets experiencing loneliness and homelessness. It was through this experience that I had realized the significant overlap between business and social impact. I heard about the Smith MBA program at Queen’s, the focus they place on teamwork, as well as their collaboration with the Centre for Social Impact. I knew that this was where I wanted to be.

I would encourage any applicant to be yourself and remember that your application will be looked at holistically. The Admissions Committee wants to see what you are passionate about, who you are as a person, and what brings you joy in life – do not be afraid to show this!

Through the Smith MBA experience, I hope to gain the skillset and tools required to not only make an impact in our society but empower others to do the same. This could be through social impact consulting, or a CSR role within a given industry, but the opportunities are limitless!
