I chose the MIB program because ...
What drew me to the MIB program at Smith is the close-knit community where academic excellence, international perspective and real-world business experience come together. I’m at a point in my life where I want to build up both my academic background and my professional experience, and Smith felt like the right place to do that.
Throughout my academic and professional journey, I’ve consistently gravitated toward global work. I studied International Business, completed a two-semester exchange in Spain, worked with international development-related communications at Global Affairs Canada, and as a result, I developed a strong interest in how organizations operate across cultures and markets. Those experiences confirmed that I want a career with an international dimension.
What particularly drew me to the MIB program is the collaborative and globally oriented approach. Specifically, the close-knit environment where I can be challenged by diverse perspectives, strengthen my business skill set, and contribute meaningfully to my peers as well.
Ultimately, I chose Smith and the MIB program due to it's global approach, diversity and community-based approach.
