Ling Yang

Assistant Professor of Accounting


Professor Yang is an Assistant Professor of Accounting at Smith School of Business. Her research examines how regulations of financial institutions affect their behaviors in the financial markets. She teaches management accounting in the Commerce program.

Full Bio

Professor Yang earned her PhD in Accounting from University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

She also holds an MBA and an MS in Economics from Georgia Institute of Technology and a BEcon in Finance and a BS in Bioengineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University.

Prior to her PhD study, she advised pensions and endowments on selecting fund managers.

She started her career interning at Bear Stearns and Financial Accounting Standards Board in the United States.
