Adjunct Lecturer
Mr. Rob Woyzbun is the President and Managing Partner of The | Marketing | Works – a strategy consultancy and the Chief Operating Officer of Vector Media, a media planning and buying company. Mr. Woyzbun was the director of Queen's Business Consulting (QBC) and an adjunct lecturer in Smith School of Business undergraduate and Full-time MBA programs.
Mr. Woyzbun is known for his wealth of experience as a marketing strategist and business planner in the high technology and public sectors. Mr. Woyzbun's marketing experience spans both industry and service sides. After graduating with a BA (Psychology) and MBA from Queen's University, his initial career was spent in Brand Management with multi-national packaged goods giants, Warner Lambert, and the H.J. Heinz Co. He then moved to the advertising side and was the Vice President/Director of Client Services and Strategic Planning for international and national full service agencies. His B2C and B2B strategic brand planning and advertising experience has included Ralston Purina, UpJohn Pharmaceuticals, Cara Foods (Harvey's and Swiss Chalet), The Toronto Sun, and Buckley's Mixture as well as several Federal Government clients. In 1993, Mr. Woyzbun and partner Veronica Engelberts founded The | Marketing | Works. TMW is now part of the professional services holding company, NP53 Marketing Group Inc., which has grown in the past 12 years to 10 professional staff serving numerous clients in the high tech, culture, and government sectors. Current clients include: Cognos Inc., Export Development Canada, Zip.ca, ACNielsen Company of Canada and the Lone Star Group of Restaurants. Rob is a seasoned industry speaker on topics including Strategic Business Planning, Marketing and Brand Strategy, and Marketing Performance Management.
Rob’s volunteer contributions include the Disabled Persons Resource Centre, the Ottawa Council for the Arts, the Greater Ottawa Chamber of Commerce, and the American Marketing Association. He is a Director of the Ottawa Regional Cancer Centre Foundation and is presently serving as the Chair of the Marketing Committee for the Foundations' $20Million Capital Campaign. In his spare time he is building a home in the 1000 Islands and competes in the Porsche Club of America Club sports car racing series.
