Adjunct Professor

Ridler, Jim –  Smith School of Business. Jim Ridler is an adjunct professor at Smith School of Business where he has taught for over twenty years. Prior to coming to Queen's, Mr. Ridler had a successful and diverse career with Imperial Oil Limited, in both management and specialist positions. In his last position as Ethics Advisor, he was responsible for developing and delivering ethics policies and programs. At Queen's, Mr. Ridler has given seminars and developed and taught courses in Business Ethics. In the field of Engineering, Mr. Ridler has written a seven-year series of articles on Engineering Ethics for Professional Engineers Ontario’s magazine, Engineering Dimensions. Mr. Ridler holds a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Toronto, a Master in Business Administration from the University of Western Ontario, and is a member of the Professional Engineers Ontario. He was also a long-time Director of the Canadian Centre for Ethics and Corporate Policy, a founding member of the Ethics Practitioners Association of Canada, and a member of Transparency International. In his field of Business Ethics, Mr. Ridler has appeared on national TV and radio and been quoted in many newspapers and magazines.
