Status of Research at Smith

At this time, the continuation of any research at Smith School of Business is first and foremost guided by the important and necessary requirements for social distancing, travel limits, and the health and safety of the research community. Limiting the speed of the spread and impact, and other guidance provided by public health agencies, is the top priority for all of us.

A few key points:

  • Updates will be available from the Queen’s Vice Principal Research site to assist faculty, students, staff and administrators engaged in research make decisions about how the current situation will impact their research.
  • Given how quickly this situation is evolving, researchers need to be prepared to delay, scale back, or stop research activities.
  • Those who are able to continue their research off-campus should continue.
  • Decisions taken to continue research involving multiple in-person subjects, students or staff, must be reported to the Dean and Associate Dean (Research).
