Renee Devereaux

Renee is an adult educator and facilitator who has spent the past two decades exploring how to create experiences that support learners to remove barriers and uncover possibilities.  As Director of Learning at the School for Social Entrepreneurs (SSE) she designs and leads programs for social entrepreneurs, intrapreneurs, and changemakers from all walks of life.  Prior to her work at SSE, Renee led The People's Workshop, an education-focused non-profit based in the Caribbean island of St. Lucia.  She has also supported a number of large-scale community engagement projects in Toronto as a facilitator and researcher.

Renee's work focuses on non-formal, experiential, and transformative approaches to learning. A fascination with the power of questions was sparked early in her career when working as a journalist; now, as an Action Learning Facilitator she sees thoughtful questions and deep listening as effective tools for learning, innovation, and complex problem-solving.
