Mikael Meir

As a serial entrepreneur, Mikael Meir launched a string of successful companies – from a publicly-traded software company worth $800 million to a venture capital firm that took numerous companies public. His last start-up venture, Portus Asset Management, was the fastest growing retail investment fund in Canadian history. There, he led a team that created just under $1 billion in assets in under three years.

After a transformative life event which he’ll share with the students, Meir embarked on a journey of self-discovery and redemption, immersing himself in the study of leadership development, behavioral change and mindfulness practices to enhance self-awareness.

Today, he is a leadership expert who helps chief executives and their teams become more self-aware, purpose-driven, fulfilled and prosperous. He is an Instructor in Ethics at the Schulich School of Business, heads up the Leadership Practice at Strateco, a management consultancy, and is a Keynote Speaker on Transformational Leadership, Culture and Change.
