Joanna Reynolds

As an associate director for the MaRS Centre for Impact Investing, Joanna leads the education and engagement initiatives. Since 2008, Joanna has focused on social finance development in Canada with Social Innovation Generation National and now with MaRS Centre for Impact Investing. Joanna works with community groups, foundations and business leaders to advance the application of social finance in Canada. She has curated Canada’s Social Finance Forum since 2008, and has worked closely with SocialFinance.ca since its inception in 2008. She supported the research and development of the Canadian Task Force on Social Finance, report, “Mobilizing Private Capital for Public Good”, 2010. Joanna is the co-author of the “State of the Nation: Impact Investing in Canada”, 2014. Joanna completed the Oxford University, Impact Investing Programme and is a graduate of Queen’s University and completed her Masters of Education at the University of Toronto. She is currently a board member of TREC Renewable Energy Co-operative.
