Dave Robitaille joined IBM in early 1990, building his career in the Supply Chain Management discipline. He quickly learned the benefits of a building a strong professional network and used those skills to progressively build his career. He has since held a variety of management positions in the areas of compliance management, government relations and strategic planning.
In 2007, Dave moved to manage IBM Canada’s Corporate Citizenship and Corporate Affairs organization. In this dynamic and challenging executive role, Dave is responsible for IBM Canada’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs, community relations, corporate grants, and IBM’s employee volunteerism programs.
He interacts on a regular basis with IBM Canada’s most senior executives, and also works directly with IBM’s Government Relations, Environmental Affairs, Human Resources, and Marketing & Communications teams to ensure IBM Canada’s Corporate Citizenship message is effectively communicated to our stakeholders and influencers.
Dave is an ambassador both internally and externally, and a champion for advancing the dialogue among leaders in both the public and private sectors. He is often a featured speaker at economic and community planning summits across Canada, works on the board of directors of several charitable organizations, and acts as an advisor to several organizations. By demonstrating the value of IBM’s premier corporate responsibility programs, including IBM’s Aboriginal Relations strategy, the Smarter Cities Challenge, and the Corporate Services Corps, Dave convincingly communicates IBM’s ability to make a direct impact on the lives of citizens in the communities they touch.
