Anil Patel

Anil Patel has a BScH Environmental Chemistry degree (Queen's Class of '98). During his time at Kingston, Anil was a member of the Varsity Swim Team, hosted a CFRC radio show, worked at Alfie's and founded several charity events (Jambo, GoatFace) that raised several thousand dollars for QUPID and other local Kingston charities.

After Queen's, Anil founded another charity program called the Timeraiser. Timeraiser helps people connect to causes they care about. Since its inception, the Timeraiser has engaged over 6,000 Canadians. This effort has generated over 136,000 volunteer hours, invested $900,000 in the careers of emerging artists and supported the efforts of 1,200 charities.

At present Anil is Managing Partner, Digital Strategy at Grantbook, a new social purpose business helping unlock billions of sleepy assets in the philanthropic sector.

Anil is also an Ashoka Fellow focused on the 'future of how work and its implications for social change'. You can learn more about or follow work at
