Dave Robitaille

Dave Robitaille joined the Supply Chain Management organization within IBM Canada in 1990. He quickly learned the benefits of a building a strong professional network and used those skills as he progressively built his career. He has since held a variety of management positions in the areas of compliance management, government relations and strategic planning.

In 2007, Dave was asked to manage IBM Canada’s Corporate Citizenship and Corporate Affairs organization. In this dynamic and challenging executive role, Dave is responsible for IBM Canada’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs, community relations, corporate grants and philanthropy, and IBM’s employee volunteerism programs.

He interacts on a regular basis with IBM Canada’s most senior executives, and also works directly with IBM’s Environmental Affairs, Human Resources, Marketing & Communications, and Government Programs to ensure IBM Canada’s Corporate Citizenship message is communicated to our stakeholders and influencers.

Dave acts as an ambassador both internally and externally, further utilizing the networking and relationship building skills he learned early in his career. He is a champion for advancing the dialogue among leaders in both the public and private sectors, and is often a featured speaker at economic and community planning summits across Canada. By demonstrating the value of IBM’s premier corporate responsibility programs, including IBM’s Aboriginal Relations strategy, the Smarter Cities Challenge, and the Corporate Services Corps, Dave convincingly communicates IBM’s ability to make a direct impact on the lives of citizens in the communities they touch.
