Heather Lang

As Sustainalytics’ Director of Research, North America, Heather Lang oversees product innovation and framework development for Sustainalytics’ global platform and related research products. In managing the North American research analyst team, she is also is responsible for promoting thought leadership and client engagement among analysts. Since joining the company in 2004, she has also worked as a senior research analyst focusing on the consumer staples sector, with a focus on human rights and supply chain management. Heather is a board member of Canada’s Social Investment Organization (SIO). She is also a steering committee member of the Social Investment Research Analyst Network (SIRAN) and co-chair of its Sustainability Education and Company Engagement sub-committee. Prior to joining the company, Heather worked as a consultant in the non-profit and private sectors, focusing on corporate social responsibility and social justice. Heather has an undergraduate degree from McGill University, a Master’s degree from Carleton University and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Toronto.
