Gail A. Taylor

Gail A. Taylor is a Vice President, Investment Advisor with the brokerage firm of CIBC Wood Gundy. Her practice commenced in 1993 and focuses on both retirement assets and responsible strategies with a particular emphasis on Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance (ESG) investing. Her clients consist of high net worth individuals, holding companies and NGOs, each with a customized financial plan based on their needs.

She recently completed the executive MBA program at Queen's University where she wrote a new venture business plan on starting up a Canadian microfinance vehicle using a for profit model. Gail sees microfinancing as an extension to responsible investing and she would like to bring more products into Canada for retail investors through the mainstream financial institutions. She has also recently completed some executive education training in microfinancing leadership at Harvard School of Business.

Gail is a member of IMCA (Investment Management Consultant Association) and with them has obtained her CIMA (Certified Investment Management Analyst) designation as well as an Endowment and Foundation certificate, both through the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

She enjoys board work and currently sits on the board of HealthBridge International (Ottawa) and the Social Investment Organization (Toronto). Previously, Gail has sat on a number of boards in Edmonton that focused on health and education.
